DENTAL PROSTHESIS
REPLACING THE TEETH
The dental prosthesis is a solution that can fill the gap of a toothless area. Partially, it fills the space of a few teeth. The complete prosthesis, also called “denture”, replaces the entirety of the teeth of the arch of bottom or the top, or of the whole mouth.
Removable full or partial dentures can be removed for daily maintenance and for the night. The first is made of acrylic, but the teeth can be made of porcelain. It is held on the gum by suction. Also made of acrylic, the second has a metal base decorated with small hooks that grip the adjacent teeth to hold it in place.
